- 3 tbsp. butter
- 2 1/2 c. uncooked macaroni
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/2 lb. white/yellow cheese
- Melt butter in a baking dish
- Pour macaroni into melted butter. Stir until butter coats macaroni.
- Slice cheese, cut each slice in fourths.
- Add salt, pepper, cheese and cold milk to macaroni.
- Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Do not stir while baking. When finished, it is golden brown and creamy.
