Thin Crust Pizza
Ingredients
- .25 oz. pkt. active dry yeast
- 1/4 tsp. granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup 110 degree water
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions
- Preheat oven with pizza stone to 500℉
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in water; allow to rest for 8 minutes
- In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt
- Pour yeast mixture over flour mixture and mix well with a heavy spoon or stand mixer with dough hook
- Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 2 minutes
- Split dough into two equal portions
- Working from the edges to the center, press dough into a 12-in circle
- Transfer dough to a floured pizza peel and slide onto the pizza stone
- Pre-cook the crust for 3 minutes or until cooked through
- Remove crust, spread sauce and top
- Bake for 4-5 minutes longer or until cheese begins to brown and edges are golden.
